I asked for three plus weeks now via my twitter @PotatoBVBQueen my official twitter for everything I do. I have asked two poll questions to the BVB army these questions: What are your thoughts on Black Veil Brides? What dose Black Veil Brides mean to you? I want to give the whole BVB army a voice through my article as WE all made the Legion Of The Black known as the BVB army happen. I hope you the reader enjoy reading this positive attribution through my eyes and among others as I have done tumultuous research about Black Veil Brides about how positively and huge impact they have on their fans or non-fans around. I plan on doing this article as a part series as there is TOO MANY BVB stories to give voice to. Enjoy the time and effort I put into gathering testimony and the love these fans have for five dudes of the semi-norm known as Black Veil Brides- Mariah L.Hanna 

Black Veil Brides is a band that people have either come to known to love or hate them. I am a rarity to have experienced both of those feelings towards this band that has helped me in such a way that I found my dream career path that YOU are reading as of this second. I plan on getting some sort of journalism/business degree in the near future. As that is being said. I could only thank one band that has helped me find my path in the right direction and that is Black Veil Brides.

Black Veil Brides is a very controversial band. They get a ton of bullshit thrown at them through the press, social media, and even face to face social situations. I want to give rise to this band that they are NOT satanic, sadomasochistic, or anything else people label them as.

I would like to make a side note as this article was supposed to be released on May 3rd as a notion of the day I was “Risen from the ashes” and was lead to my career path and my talent in life. I was bullied and was a lost soul until I let BVB into my soul last year. That being said. Converting to BVBism was thee best decision of my life cause it not only bettered my life it also led me to my dream to start my legacy. I was incredibly ill with my severe health conditions that made me put this article on hold for a bit. I didn’t fret one second why I was sick to think of things for this article and what not. So I “Never gave in” and go well to the point were I am back now at the writing again. Thank you all for being so patient it means a lot. I love you all lots.

I digress back to the first article of this series I am doing. “Legion Of The Black: If we stand together, We will be Unbroken”. I want to give rise to the thousands or hundreds if I can many touching BVB stories that I come across and how BVB has affected them in positive manners and how they have helped them get through shit. I am happy to just convey these messages if I can to any band if they helped them out. BVB has made an imprint on my life so much that if I have for example my old feelings for them back I would never go back to being a hater EVER again. I promise on my potatoes on that. Haha I won’t ever have my old feelings for BVB anyways cause I love them so much I could eat mashed potatoes while having a few emotional tugs at the heart.

Black Veil Brides has helped millions, thousands, hundreds, and numerous amounts of people through their positive music, lyrics, and their bystander effect mentality for worldly issues such as bullying, self harm, etc. They are one of thee best known bands who have anti-positive messages for people dealing with shit from variety of things. The “Never give in, Never back down” motto to life is what BVB preaches everyday. Whether they are on tour or not. Many other bands have similar messages but I find BVB’s proactive messages pure and unified.

In fact, last year Black Veil Brides raised awareness through the Bully Project through selling “If We Stand Together, We Will Be Unbroken” t-shirts and tank tops to raise money for the charity. People find bands like Black Veil Brides satanic and every other misconception in the book people may have against them. People don’t know is that Black Veil Brides members are human. Just like you and I. YOU being the reader and I being the writer of this article. People treat them like they are some vicious poisonous animal in a cage when in reality they are sweethearts, kind natured, no ill thought, nice hearted, and loving soul dudes that care.

Black Veil Brides are a controversial band but with this article I want to focus more on the positive nature of this band versus the negatory they get for certain medias and critics.  I want to bring more justice to not only this band but to people’s minds who will judge bands like Black Veil Brides cause of their aesthetics nature and style. It angers me when people just judge people based of their looks or they haven’t even listened to the band. I for one gave BVB a CHANCE. I didn’t just listen to “Knives and Pens” I listened to a variety of their music before making a decision of becoming a fan or not. Unfortunately their music never clicked with me then until now. Which I am extremely thankful now. If it weren’t for them. You wouldn’t be reading what you are reading right this second. I thank them endlessly for “Rising me out of the ashes” and inspiring me to pick up my writing again. I feel whole again. All I had to do is believe in a band that I hated once. Just believing and caring about them makes me feel awesome. Its feels right being a BVB fan and army member. I love them very much. Each of them carries their own separate inspiration towards me. I have no words to describe it. I am glad that the BVB hater in me is gone forever. Glad I converted on January 27th, 2013. Best day of my life even though it was my worst day cause it was the start of something special. The day I was “Risen from the Ashes” Forever thankful for Black Veil Brides even Jake mentioned to me “I knew it was just a matter of time” for all BVB converters including me. It really mean’t something special to me.

Black Veil Brides has had so much shit thrown at them through out the years. I want to show the positive side of this band and what they harness for the world. They have a power ballads of anti-bullying, self-worth,  inspirational, moving, positive, and life improving messages through their music. BVB has done a great service throughout the years of getting younger generations into rock and roll and metal. I was told by people who this is a great public service but yet they get shit on. Why. There are tons of reasons why. Many situations of why people hate BVB. Nearly all of it is bullshit. I just want to focus more on the positive here in this article versus the bullshit BVB gets. ALL bands deserve that unless that band treats their fans like shit then they have every right to have bullshit slayed at them. But its bands like BVB that treat their fans like gold that get lots of shit for the way they look or the way their music sounds. I want to live in a world someday were people of the internet grow up and instead get jobs instead of being lazy keyboard warriors having no life.

So in this. I am going to shut up and give the BVB army the loyal members of the Legion Of The Black a voice through my article. I am going to give meaning to why I started this series aptly called “Legion Of The Black: If We Stand Together, We Will Be Unbroken”. I started it cause I want to not only give people of the BVB army a voice. I wanted to give them a voice because they are what made the community, family, and fan base happen. Everyone deserves a voice. I am a lady who believes in equality. I believe that once everyone’s voices gets heard. I can sleep better at night knowing I did a wonderful service to society. Music has joined us all together for eternity and forever we are bonded by what is known as “Legion Of The Black”.

Now for the lovely opinions I asked for. Thank you for reading this article series. There is going to be more as there are going to be more personal and inspirational stories and opinions about the Black Veil Brides. THIS means the world to me. BVB necessarily didn’t save my life but they have helped me realize some things about myself that I should improve on. They helped me have a more positive look and things in general. They gave me hope and courage and opened mind. When I listen to them, I feel so empowered and strong. It’s a joy to listen to their music. I also think that they’re getting younger people into rock and hard rock which is good and showing them good music. They’re hard working, talented musicians, very humble, and grateful but they also don’t take bullshit people’s bullshit. They do their own thing and are amazing people-Mia

BVB are my world and to me they are amazing and talented. They will always be my favorite band of “Brothers” I will not give up of give in because of them. They saved me from the bad depression I had and have helped me control it. @CourtPurdyBVB

I had a toxic mother that crashed me down and insinuated a deep insecure feeling in me. She left us 21 months ago I didn’t realize that my chains were finally broken at the moment. But all the bad feelings i had for years became a strange mixture of not understandable feelings. I was completely lost. I was scared cause I realized I was listening to my mind and wasn’t able to do it cause I have 2 sons to look after and there, thanks to one of my sons I heard Knives and Pens for the first time. I have asked Dimitri what was it. He explained to me who Andy, Jake, and Jinxx was. How difficult had been for them and I have been deeply touched about their lives. In a certain way it was similar to mine. I was surprised that my very popular against himself was so deeply touched by BVB. He introduced me to the BVB world and I finally realized that it was okay not to be perfect and I pretended to myself, well its will always will be difficult to me to try to accept myself as I am. BVB lyrics touch people deep inside. Doesn’t matter what problem you have: Alcohol, Drugs, depression. Adults and teens clearly understand each word in their own reading key and that is truly amazing. How many people can honestly talk to others telling the right word to make them feel better. To make them feel like there not alone. Because this is the way we feel after listening to Andy’s lyrics. BVB make hope us pull it through. @BVBpinafan

@MandyJames1979 Told me she could write a whole essay on these guys. I feel her as I have written many articles on these fellas. Their are no amount of words to explain how and why BVB has affects us. BVB is very influential and positive band for all. Thank you Mandy for your input. It means a lot.

Sitting at home and Rebel Love Song came onto Kerrang TV and it hit me. The Biggest jolt of electricity you could imagine shot through me. I couldn’t sit still and as soon as it was over I wanted it to come back on. I had never felt so alive. Little did I realize that was the moment the magical journey began. After discovering BVB had an album out that year. I went out and bought it that day after hearing Rebel Love Song. I set my sights on learning everything there was to know about this new found love, becoming a sponge for knowledge about BVB. I found Knives and Pens video via fanpop which got played repeatedly, then YouTube was getting frequented on a daily basis, the search bar getting the words Black Veil Brides hammered in there at every chance I got. After suffering the loss of my brother Mark in December 2010, which is one of the hardest I have ever had to go through, no matter how hard I tried nothing helped, even music wasn’t helping. So I floated about lost, alone, without my brother, my best friend the one who I was closest to the most and will forever miss with all my heart. Up until the day that I heard Rebel Love Song it was a struggle and unbearable, but you gave my hope, a sense belonging, make me stronger, make me confident, make me who I am today, and most of all make me the person I am today and be myself, you complete my world. The more I learn and read about Black Veil Brides the more I find myself falling more in love with the five magical individuals who saved me from losing sense of who I am becoming a shell, a doormat, lost, and alone. The message, lyrics, songs, and the many words of wisdom,  dedication, respect, and passion you give will forever give me the strength, passion, and confidence and so many more powerful attributes you have built up inside me. Ultimate Rant: Black Veil Brides Style (Putting BVB on a Royal Throne)

As I read through the common posts, tweets, forums, comments, and etc of the daily hate Black Veil Brides gets in the shit tons on every media site out their that features them news wise or interviews them. Plus on their official media sites as well. Its come to my attention that Black Veil Brides isn’t metal enough, their gay, they sound like such and such band, they are ladies(They are grown men, LOL), they are emo faggots, they are bad this and that, etc. The list goes on and on with the shitty non claimable excuses I have read about how “Gay”, “Not Metal” and “Sucky ass” BVB is. 

What are my further thoughts on this situation. I did an informal article on classifying BVB in a metal group. YES. They are TYPE of metal. If you dumbass sheep would put your thinking caps on right and searched Google right then you would realize that BVB is a type of metal. END OF SUBJECT. Plus BVB classifies themselves as rock and roll to begin with. So why put bands in boxes. Just listen to the music and enjoy it. But I had to be frank with people in that post and actually break shit down to tell YOU the hater what genre or sub-genre BVB will be compiled into metal in. I am tired of people calling them faggots, emo faggots, what homo they are, etc. Derogatory insults are not pretty at all. BVB is straight for crying out loud. Even Ashley says in a few interviews that he worships women. Bullying is NOT okay. Bullying should end. Can I ask “The BVB haters” a question. What did BVB do to you? Nothing. Why constantly hate on something. If you don’t like it. Don’t waste your valuable precious life on hating. Its not good for your psyche, mental stature, nor health. 

People keep bringing up what Andy’s now legendary speech at the Golden Gods Awards 13′. I back what BVB did 300 percent. Have your opinion about it but at least have their side of the story before you the hater has a one tracked mind about. I am so fucking glad I voted for “In The End” to be and won “Song of The Year” because for personal reasons and for the fact it was written for Andy’s late grandfather Urban Flanders(May he rest in peace and will never be forgotten). Andy also via his twitter apologized for the matter. Andy also posted a tumblr post about the situation. I bet NONE OF YOU HATERS have read it nor read his tweets stating the apologies. YOU the haters make Andy and the rest of his band out to be a villain’s of the music community(I know you do it to a lot more other bands too not just BVB) when they do the complete fucking opposite in helping thousands of people including myself more than lately with their inspirational key messages through their music and lyrics. So you can give me those “Oh Andy is an asshole, he acts like a dick.” No he isn’t a dick and nor is he an asshole. Lets do a hypothetical haters. Lets play a game. The “You put yourself in their shoes.” game. How would you feel to get massive amounts of hate on a daily basis day in and day out plus constantly getting critics who may or may not like what you have put out their either artwork wise, music, etc. You worked your ass off for hours, days, and years the project you created with your blood, sweat, and tears. You constantly get shit on with trolls, critics, haters, etc YOU the hater would be guarded too about what someone says about you on the internet or face to face interactions. People are entitled to their opinions. We live in America were the first amendment gives that right. But in the next paragraph I will explain where the first amendment doesn’t cover your ass haters in certain situations. 

I have come across a few facebook anti- BVB hate pages. People are entitled do those pages however its come to my attention that even with the first amendment and their right to free speech will get their asses in trouble with the law. Pages telling Andy to kill himself, Andy is a Satanic Pedophile, and on some anti- BVB hate pages their are memes suggesting to kill BVB. With content like that your rights to free speech and to the first amendment are out the fucking door. People don’t realize that doing these such things are illegal as fuck and can be prosecuted in the court of law. Not to mention based on your states or countries anti-bullying or anti-cyber bullying laws what actions and consequences you can face. I took a street law class 3 fucking times in high school. I read my school book thoroughly. So get a life you anti facebook anti- bvb hate page admins. You can hate the band all the fuck your hearts desire it just overly pisses me off that these things AREN’T BEING HANDLED CORRECTLY AND NOT BEING PROPERLY PUNISHED. Have a hate page for all I fucking care. Waste your life on it. I have pity for you. But don’t have your hate page cross the line so much so that it becomes illegal and you have to go to court cause of it. DON’T BE A DUMBASS. 

DO PEOPLE USE GOOGLE ANYMORE TO FACT CHECK. USE IT. IT WAS CREATED 15 YEARS AGO. USE IT. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE ILLITERATE TO USE IT. MY MOM AND DAD USE IT. THEY DON’T KNOW SHIT ABOUT COMPUTERS THAT MUCH. EVEN MY GRANDMA’S AND GRANDPA’S CAN USE GOOGLE. THE FUCK IS THIS SOCIETY COMING TOO. LAZY BRAIN SYNDROME. IF YOU ARE TOO LAZY TO GO TO GOOGLE HERE I HAVE DONE IT FOR YOU HATER. HERE YOU GO: http://www.google.com 

If you don’t like it, don’t listen to it. Don’t go trolling to some fan support page or bands official page and paste your hate about a band their. Just gives me reason to call you a closet fan. The logic in that is fucked up and gives me headaches. Just what the fuck. 

I know the BVB haters will NEVER stop and will never stop in letting us know about their opinions. But I am warning you permanent BVB haters if I see ANY content anywhere on the internet posted about BVB or any of their members that is illegal I will report your ass to the proper people. I WON”T tolerate any messages containing “Kill yourselves emo fags, Lets shoot BVB with a gun, any vile untrue content about the band members, and any negative actions towards the BVB army.” 

Another thing I have come across lately is that people believe BVB’s music is satanic. However, I know that their lyrics make some religious references I want non fans to know that BVB is completely a secular band like I am completely secular amateur journalists. Secular meaning no religious partakes in any religious activities or matters.With this being said. BLACK VEIL BRIDES IS NOT A SATANIC BAND NOR DO THEY WORSHIP SATAN. LOL. BVB is fully a rock and roll band not a Jesus band. If you want a Jesus band listen to Underoath, Kutless, Anberlin, etc. Nothing wrong with Jesus bands its just that I don’t like the “Please Like us If you Love Jesus Bait and Switch motive” behind Jesus bands. I hate that. 

I know we can’t live in a world that can’t accept us “Freaks” and the song “We Don’t Belong Here” is a true testament on how the worlds negative donkey asses have upon the people who want to help and change the world. The people who are different are the ones who get bullied the most in today’s society verses the normal folk. I know bullying awareness month has passed but It should be every month. Bullying is not okay. Stand up for someone that is getting picked on. Help people out. Their is no greater reward in the world than helping someone out without repay. “Paying it forward” is what its all about. I hope and wish bullying can be eradicated someday. I hope one day that some of you BVB haters give BVB a second chance like I did. When I gave BVB that second chance. My whole world changed. The world became more beautiful, my creativity went through the roof, and they gave me comfort in knowing everything is going to be okay. BVB helped me resurrect something that I thought I lost forever which YOU the reader and or hater is reading right now. BVB helped me resurface my love for writing again from the ashes. I can’t tell you the reader the feelings I am feeling for this band. BVB has given me hope, the oxygen to breathe again, the power to have my dreams come true some day that I will make happen( AYE magazines you better be looking for me in the future. 😉 ) So I urge you the hater to go into BVB’s disc catalog with an open mind listen to the lyrics, the guitar/bass bridges, hooks, solos, etc and the killer drum beats plus added on piano and orchestra workings done by Jinxx. (So please tell me their untalented fucks, NO) when they are clearly not. If you want proof they record THEIR own music purchase the deluxe edition of Wretched and Divine and watch the making of documentary plus read in all their lyric books in the back their is the legal music copyrights by ALL THE MEMBERS. So quit saying they are motley cure and kiss ripoffs when clearly those bands inspired and influenced BVB in their music and look(THEY didn’t ripoff their look nor plagiarize their look, If you look in comparison of Motley Crue circa 1985 to BVB circa STWOF(Set the World On Fire) era they have two totally different looks. KISS had and still has to this day the mass theatrics with the famous white and black make up. BVB has black warpaint and black signature face paintings suiting to their personal preferences. BVB took influences from KISS in theatrics and make-up styling s but NEVER stole KISS’s look nor theatrics. It just makes me laugh my ass off when people coin BVB as Kiss and Motley wannabe’s without doing their full GOOGLE research and basing their opinions off firsts impressions. Jeeze.) Plus Jinxx is a classically trained musician ranging from the piano to orchestrated music. Andy went to the school for Creative and Performing Arts. CC and Jake taught themselves how to play music since they were young kids.

So it comes to wrap this rant up. I hope these BVB haters do their research on www dot Google dot com. It enthralls me how stupid, stupider, stupidest the world has come to. So happy I fell in love with BVB’s music and their message. BVB is about follow your dreams, leading a legacy, being who you are, never giving in, never backing down, and always having a rock and roll good time. If you the hater see anything wrong with that then you are really mistaken. I find it cool to have learned so much from a band. BVB got myself out their again. I owe it to them for me to make my dreams come true and to thank them some day in person( Plus mention a little epic apology in the near far future…I can’t) I hope you haters realize that hating is a mere waste of time. You might be pissed off at me for telling you all off. Which I could careless. One way or the other. But seriously do you have shit to do in your lives instead of constantly spending your precious life on hating a band that didn’t do shit to you. Seriously get a hobby like knitting, skateboarding, graphic designing, writing, making music( don’t hear any of you BVB haters making any hits lately), anything what you set your hater mind to. Hating a band for a certain amount of time gets pretty monotonous. 

All I can say is I am so happy that a band like Black Veil Brides exists on earth. Such five beautiful soul men they are. I hope to interview them someday. They are cool guys and down to earth. The put on killer live shows. They have me as a forever fan for life. I am happy and inspired knowing Jake Pitts is a fellow born Idahoan. If he came from Idaho, succeed, and make his dreams come true today. I know I can make my dreams come true too. YOU can make your dreams come true too. 

NEVER GIVE IN….NEVER BACK DOWN….. RISE UP AND CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE…. CAUSE…TAKE JOY IN WHO YOU ARE…CAUSE WE KNOW OUR WINGS ARE FLAWED… BLACK VEIL BRIDES OUR OUR HERO’S BUT DON’T FORGET THEY ARE ONLY HUMAN.. LET THEM LIVE
